This week for the Edublogs Challenge number six, I will write about digital citizenship. Now a days it seems like everything happens with technology. Almost everyone on the planet has signed up for a social networking site. Sometimes you can be bullied or even threatened over the internet. I have learned that if you have a problem with bullying the best thing you can do is talk to an adult about the situation. Adults can be a big help during these types of things. While online you should not post revealing photos or posts about yourself or anybody else. Another thing you should not do while on the internet is give out your phone number or any personal information. That could lead to prank call that can be threatening. Something else that you should not do is talk to strangers. They could be lying to you about who they are. Not everything that is posted on the internet is true! I usually never believe anything i read online , because most of it end up being big lie. Now i have told you a couple of things that you should not do on the internet. I’m sure that there is much more you should really not do. Remember everything you do on the internet can never be deleted, even if you think it is. Make the right choices or there could be consequences.

This week our blog challenge is to write about whatever we decide we wanna write about . So i decided that i am gonna write about what i plan on doing with my life in the future .
I plan on graduating high school at the time that i am supposed to . Which is four years . Soon after , i plan on applying to the military . After i finish serving all my time at the military or navy , i would like to find a great college that i would want to attend for a while . Maybe USC or Santa Barbra . For college , i’m not sure if i wanna be a surgeon , a marine bioligist , or a ultra sound technician . All three choices are wonderful jobs that i would love to spend my life doing . Plus all these jobs take many years of college to complete . So , i’m not sure what i am going to be studying and learning about at college yet . I have to figure it out soon though , because time has been going by very quickly . Before i know it i’ll be in high school just about ready to graduate . So my future is something i really have to start thinking about .

Medieval Japanese developed a love and respect for the Tea Ceremony during the golden age under the rule of Prince Shotoku . The traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony became more than just drinking tea , It is a spiritual experience that shows harmony , respect , purity , and tranquility . The Japanese Tea Ceremony , came about about when Japan adopted both Chinese practices of drinking powder and Zen Buddhist Beliefs . In Japan, many choose to take classes or join clubs at dedicated tea schools, colleges, or universities to learn how to host a Tea Ceremony correctly . You can even earn certificates for mastering certain thing in the Ceremony . It can take years of practice the art of the Japanese Tea Ceremony . The Ceremony uses a special tea called “Matcha Green Tea “ . The ceremony can last up to four hours . The host of the ceremony can prepare extensively , practicing hand movements , and all the steps so that the ceremony is perfect , yet simple in every single detail . The décor for the ceremony is simple and rustic and includes hanging scrolls (kakemono in Japanese) that are very appropriate for the season or feature well known sayings. The ceremony can be performed in the home, a special tea room, in a tea house, even outdoors. The host receives the guests through a small door or gate which is short, forcing the guests to bow upon entry. The host greets each guest with a silent bow. Obviously , the Tea Ceremony is very different from our modern ways to serve tea . And also different from British styled ” Tea Parties ” .

Africa is the second-largest continent and has many geographic features and climate zones. These features greatly affected trading patterns. The Mediterranean Sea is the dominate feature of North Africa. The most common climate zone throughout Africa is the rain forest , made up of sweeping grasslands. Large herds of animals have roamed this terrain for thousands of years. Near the equator, you will find hot and moist tropical rain forests. A central, high and flat plateau lifts the continent everywhere except near the coast and in the Great Rift Valley where the first human fossils were found. Africa also has several important rivers. One example is the Niger River in West Africa which has been used by merchants selling their wares thereby establishing several early civilizations.

Yesterday I met a man named Ts’ai Lun and he showed me an amazing new invention. The Chinese people usually write on bark taken from trees. He took a pile of rags that had been thrown away and first soaked the natural fibers which separated them in water. Next, he pulled them through a screen made of splinted bamboo fibers. After several more experiments, he gained new skills and his tapa dries evenly and quickly, and is strong enough to absorb black ink. He told me that he met a man traveling from far away , a place called europe, and that the man was going to take this invention back home with him. I think this new invention might just change how people do things everywhere .
